a few minutes ago i walked to the cvs by my office. it is where i get my prescriptions filled. as i was waiting in line to get my prescription there was an older woman in line in front of me getting hers. i wasnt trying to eavesdrop but i heard the pharmacists say $144.29. i recognized the woman from the neighborhood. i have helped her walk across an icy street a time or twenty in the past. i heard her ask why it was more than last month and she said that she only had $85. i paid for the rest.
is there a word for the feeling you get when you help someone and it makes you happier than it makes them?
